R.S. 40:964<\/strong><\/h2><p align=\"justify\">A. \u00a0Substances of vegetable origin or chemical synthesis. \u00a0Unless specifically excepted or unless listed in another schedule, any of the following substances whether produced directly or indirectly by extraction from substances of vegetable origin, or independently by means of chemical synthesis, or by a combination of extraction and chemical synthesis:<\/p><p align=\"justify\">(1) \u00a0Opium and opiate, and any salt, compound, isomer, derivative, or preparation of opium or opiate, excluding naloxone, and its salts, and excluding naltrexone and its salts, but including the following:<\/p><p align=\"justify\">(a) \u00a0Raw opium<\/p><p align=\"justify\">(b) \u00a0Opium extracts<\/p><p align=\"justify\">(c) \u00a0Opium fluid extracts<\/p><p align=\"justify\">(d) \u00a0Powdered opium<\/p><p align=\"justify\">(e) \u00a0Granulated opium<\/p><p align=\"justify\">(f) \u00a0Tincture of opium<\/p><p align=\"justify\">(g) \u00a0Repealed by Acts 1999, No. 755, \u00a72.<\/p><p align=\"justify\">(h) \u00a0Codeine<\/p><p align=\"justify\">(i) \u00a0Ethylmorphine<\/p><p align=\"justify\">(j) \u00a0Etorphine hydrochloride<\/p><p align=\"justify\">(k) \u00a0Hydrocodone<\/p><p align=\"justify\">(l) \u00a0Hydromorphone\u2013also commonly known as Dilaudid<\/p><p align=\"justify\">(m) \u00a0Metopone<\/p><p align=\"justify\">(n) \u00a0Morphine<\/p><p align=\"justify\">(o) \u00a0Oxycodone<\/p><p align=\"justify\">(p) \u00a0Oxymorphone<\/p><p align=\"justify\">(q) \u00a0Thebaine<\/p><p align=\"justify\">(2) \u00a0Any salt, compound, isomer, derivative, or preparation thereof which is chemically equivalent or identical with any of the substances referred to in Paragraph (1), except that these substances shall not include the isoquinoline alkaloids of opium.<\/p><p align=\"justify\">(3) \u00a0Opium poppy and poppy straw.<\/p><p align=\"justify\">(4) \u00a0Coca leaves, cocaine, ecgonine and any salt, isomer, salt of an isomer, compound, derivative, or preparation of coca leaves, cocaine or ecgonine and any salt, isomer, salt of an isomer, compound, derivative, or preparation thereof which is chemically equivalent or identical with any of these substances, except that the substances shall not include decocainized coca leaves or extraction of coca leaves, which extractions do not contain cocaine or ecgonine.<\/p><p align=\"justify\">(5) \u00a0Repealed by Acts 2001, No. 282, \u00a72.<\/p><p align=\"justify\">B. \u00a0Opiates. \u00a0Unless specifically excepted or unless listed in another schedule any of the following opiates, including its isomers, esters, ethers, salts, and salts of isomers, esters and ethers whenever the existence of such isomers, esters and ethers, and salts is possible within the specific chemical designation:<\/p><p align=\"justify\">(1) \u00a0Alphaprodine<\/p><p align=\"justify\">(2) \u00a0Anileridine<\/p><p align=\"justify\">(3) \u00a0Bezitramide<\/p><p align=\"justify\">(4) \u00a0Dihydrocodeine<\/p><p align=\"justify\">(5) \u00a0Diphenoxylate<\/p><p align=\"justify\">(6) \u00a0Fentanyl<\/p><p align=\"justify\">(7) \u00a0Isomethadone<\/p><p align=\"justify\">(8) \u00a0Levomethorphan<\/p><p align=\"justify\">(9) \u00a0Levorphanol<\/p><p align=\"justify\">(10) \u00a0Metazocine<\/p><p align=\"justify\">(11) \u00a0Methadone<\/p><p align=\"justify\">(12) \u00a0Methadone-Intermediate, 4-cyano-2-dimethylamino-4, 4-diphenyl butane<\/p><p align=\"justify\">(13) \u00a0Moramide-Intermediate, 2-methyl-3-morpholino-1, 1-diphenylpropane-carboxylic acid<\/p><p align=\"justify\">(14) \u00a0Pethidine<\/p><p align=\"justify\">(15) \u00a0Pethidine-Intermediate-A, 4-cyano-1-methyl-4-phenyl-piperidine<\/p><p align=\"justify\">(16) \u00a0Pethidine-Intermediate-B, ethyl-4-phenylpiperidine-4-carboxylate<\/p><p align=\"justify\">(17) \u00a0Pethidine-Intermediate-C, 1-methyl-4-phenylpiperidine-4-carboxylic acid<\/p><p align=\"justify\">(18) \u00a0Phenazocine<\/p><p align=\"justify\">(19) \u00a0Piminodine<\/p><p align=\"justify\">(20) \u00a0Racemethorphan<\/p><p align=\"justify\">(21) \u00a0Racemorphan<\/p><p align=\"justify\">(22) \u00a0Sufentanil<\/p><p align=\"justify\">C. \u00a0Stimulants. \u00a0Unless specifically excepted or unless listed in another schedule, any material, compound, mixture, or preparation which contains any quantity of the following substances having a stimulant effect on the central nervous system, including their salts, isomers and salts of isomers, whenever the existence of such salts, isomers, and salts of isomers is possible within the specific chemical designation:<\/p><p align=\"justify\">(1) \u00a0Amphetamine<\/p><p align=\"justify\">(2) \u00a0Methamphetamine<\/p><p align=\"justify\">(3) \u00a0Repealed by Acts 1999, No. 755, \u00a72.<\/p><p align=\"justify\">(4) \u00a0Methylphenidate<\/p><p align=\"justify\">(5), (6) \u00a0Repealed by Acts 1999, No. 755, \u00a72.<\/p><p align=\"justify\">D. \u00a0Depressants. Unless specifically excepted or unless listed in another schedule, any material, compound, mixture, or preparation which contains any quantity of the following substances having a depressant effect on the central nervous system, including their salts, isomers, salts of isomers, or analogues whenever the existence of such salts, isomers, salts of isomers, or analogues is possible within the specific chemical designation:<\/p><p align=\"justify\">(1) \u00a0Repealed by Acts 2006, No. 54, \u00a72.<\/p><p align=\"justify\">(2) \u00a0Gamma Hydroxybutyric Acid<\/p><p align=\"justify\">(3) \u00a0Gamma Butyrolactone<\/p><p align=\"justify\">(4) \u00a01,4-Butanediol<\/p><p align=\"justify\">E. \u00a0Immediate precursors. \u00a0Unless specifically excepted or unless listed in another schedule, any material, compound, mixture, or preparation which contains any quantity of the following substances, including their salts, isomers, and salts of isomers, whenever the existence of such salts, isomers, and salts of isomers is possible within the specific chemical designation:<\/p><p align=\"justify\">(1) \u00a0Immediate precursors to methamphetamine: \u00a0(a) phenylacetone and methylamine or (b) hydriodic acid, and ephedrine or pseudoephedrine, if possessed with intent to manufacture methamphetamine.<\/p><p align=\"justify\">(2) \u00a0Immediate precursors to phencyclidine and 1 \u2013 piperidinocyclohexanecarbonitrile (PCC):<\/p><p align=\"justify\">(a) \u00a01-phenylcyclohexylamine;<\/p><p align=\"justify\">(b) \u00a0piperidine and cyclohexanone, if possessed together, or a combination product thereof, with intent to manufacture phencyclidine.<\/p><p align=\"justify\">(3) \u00a0Immediate precursors to phenylacetone: phenylacetic acid and acetic anhydride, if possessed together with intent to manufacture phenylacetone.<\/p><p align=\"justify\">For purposes of this Subsection, possession of immediate precursors sufficient for the manufacture of methylamine, phenylacetone, piperidine, or cyclohexanone shall be deemed to be possession of such a derivative substances.<\/p><p align=\"justify\"><a title=\"New Orleans Criminal Defense Attorney\" href=\"https:\/\/haroldweiser.com\/legal\">Harold E.
